Match Report
Orwell Park School Girls U9B vs  Culford School Girls-U9A
On: Wednesday, 20 Mar 2019
Venue: Away

A fantasticly well fought match to end the season which unfortunately did not end the girls on a win today, however this does not show what effort and skills the girls were able to produce out on pitch. The girls today really put onto the pitch what they had learnt all season, skills such as their slap passes, their ability to pass into space and look up before a pass was really nice to see it all come togeather on pitch.

The girls showed how much they understood the game as well when the umpires were using terms like ‘sixteen yard hit’ and ‘long corner’ they were quick to get into position and get going straight away, this let us catch the other team out quite a bit and allowed us to be able to push it up on the pitch.

All the team were having the confidence now to start tackling players and taking shots at goal which help make the game primarily in our attacking D, unfortunately their defence was very strong and meant the girls found it hard to shoot meaning that it was an unfortunate loss today.

A really great match played by the girls, really showed what they had learnt throughout the season. Well done.
